Today’s show is about the “Voice of Innocence.” The importance of Mentors, Teachers and Coaches in our lives. While visiting my daughter and her husband recently in Albuquerque, New Mexico, I took the time to sit down with my 11-year-old grandson, Vaughn to have a talk about life. The conversation turned to the importance of having people in his life besides mom and dad who he could trust and eventually learn from. I’m a big believer in helping individuals bring out that “Childlike Spirit” that lies within each of us. It just seems that for many, life beats it out of us! Over time our ability to learn from and trust others becomes more difficult. This has become a serious problem in our communities and society in general. In today’s episode, we get to experience the “Voice of Innocence.” We can learn from it as we embrace it. I believe all of us Men can learn to be “Childlike” in our approach towards life, not only for ourselves, but so that we can eventually better relate and learn how best to help others through being mentors, teachers and coaches. There is no better way to learn than to teach and coach others. Men, I truly believe this is our time to step up. The “Innocence” in our communities is screaming for help. This truly is your time!
